My office is located at 150 E. Center Street #201

I call it bodywork instead of massage for a reason. There are a multitude of methods that I’ve trained in over the last 16+ years, and while the majority of them do include physical touch as most people associate with massage, a few of them don’t require touch or even for us to be in the same room and yet they are all incredibly effective at supporting the body’s healing and wholeness process.

My work is both physically and energetically deep. I am a spiritual woo-woo person, and yet I love doing medically based, area specific bodywork, having a strategic and practical understanding as to why I’m doing what I’m doing. “No wasted strokes” are the words a long-time client of mine used to describe my work. Every move has a purpose, every change of the hands is intentional. I love thinking critically (not judgmentally) about what is going on in your body and your life and am committed to helping you get to where you want to be at a pace that feels sustainable. I believe in your body’s innate capacity to heal and trust that our work together will support that unfolding process.

So why come to me?

  • You experience chronic pain, or are healing from an injury or surgery, whether recent or long-ago experience and are seeking support in that process. You want a practitioner who understands the medical side of bodywork. I’ve billed insurance in the past (sorry, not currently) and can communicate with other medical professionals, physical therapists, or allied health care-givers to have a more complete understanding of your history, needs, complimentary approaches. It would be silly to undo the strengthening work your PT is focusing on, or do deep work if you are undergoing chemo or are taking medications that thin your blood or skin. Aligned and supported, not counterproductive.

  • You want to experience specific, deep, and medically informed work, but in a way that works with your tissue in a relaxed state as opposed to forcing it to comply. My work is very slow, and I listen not only with my ears but my hands and energy to know what your system needs to come back to wholeness.

  • You want someone who you can trust, someone to build a healthy care-giving relationship with so each visit builds on the one before it.

  • You want to feel less pain - in your body, in your mind, in your spirit. My clients consistently report that coming to me helps them to feel not only better physically, but more whole, holistically. My work is very comprehensive, specific, and yet well rounded. Healing the body has a magical way of healing the soul, too.

  • You want someone to help empower and educate you with at-home practices to continue your care, who also brings a wide knowledge base into our one-on-one work.

  • You want to be an engaged participant in your healing process. We do this together, just occupying different roles.

What to expect:

My sessions are 60, 90, or 120 minutes of table time. Each session is a co-creative process between you and me, ensuring an experience uniquely right for you.  Sometimes your best option is to just let me do what I do best so you can lay back, relax and enjoy, knowing you’re in good hands. Other times, I would love you to give me direction and input, so the work is tailored to your expectations and needs.

In addition to the table time, I also include an additional 30-45 minutes of time for us to be together. We will talk when you first come in, perhaps have a little tea or water while we chat. When your table time is complete, I encourage my clients to lay on the table for 5-10 minutes, allowing the work to sink in and ease the transition from “dreamy-land” with a mindful walk around the table for integration into a new state of being. Once you are ready to be back in the world a little more, we’ll debrief about your experience. I love to learn what works and what was “meh” so each session hones in on your perfect experience. I also find the post-table talk help clients to process and integrate the work in a different way then when they are fully receiving. You can arrive right at your session time, no need to be any more than 5 minutes early.

The following is a list of the some of the various modalities that you might experience in my office, feel free to ask for any specifically:

  • Swedish massage: perfect for “making nice” with areas that just received some deeper attention, for helping circulation and lymph flow to reduce inflammation, flush stagnancy/toxicity, and bring nutrient rich blood flow to an area.

  • Connective tissue therapy: similar in essence to Rolfing or Structural Integration in that this works with the connective tissue in the body, but my flavor is low and slow, allowing the body to allow me in and forward instead of pushing my way in. This is great when working with longer standing postural imbalances, injuries, and chronic pain.

  • Neuromuscular “trigger point” therapy: Knots! Oh, how we love the knots to be worked out. Another deep yet slow process of invitation and softening vs beating into submission.

  • Postural assessment: both on and off the table, I appreciate the story your body tells me based on how it has been stacking itself in gravity. Sometimes it’s a compensation from an old injury and the postural holding didn’t dissipate, sometimes it’s a guarding or protective mechanism for what’s going on in your life - your posture communicates a lot that will inform how and where I work. An easy example is the upper back pain that many people feel these days, and often there is an accompanying rounded and forward shoulder posture present. So, this tells me not to continue to stretch out an already stretched out back, but instead to open, relax and soften the muscles in the chest, neck, and front side of the shoulders to bring balance between front and back sides.

  • Energy/Intuitive work: I am one empathic chick. My hands go where they are called, they contact at a depth or duration that feels organic and natural. I sometimes can’t explain why I do something, only to have my client remark that “they totally forgot to mention that spot was bugging them!" It’s happened enough where I trust it and go with it. Sometimes my hands hover and move over the physical body in your energetic field and sometimes they dive deep into a point and linger there for a while.

  • Coaching: With extensive training in coaching techniques and as a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, we can also integrate perspective shifts, clarity, and researched backed strategies to improve your wellbeing. This is usually a little part of the conversations we have, but if you’re interested in having coaching only sessions, please see another side of my business: Health Not Hustle (healthnothustle.com)

  • Chakra balancing: Tapping into the energy centers of your being, I am able to re-balance areas that are overactive, blocked, anemic, or hyper-charged so that your vital energy flows smoothly, evenly and rhythmically through your system.

  • Akashic Records healing: buckle your woo seatbelts! By accessing your soul’s book, we are able to clear anything you’ve brought into this lifetime that may be contributing to your pain. With this approach, the loving, kind and nourishing energy of the divine is infused into my work so that your session and your outcomes feel aligned with your purpose and “right sized” to you.

  • Bengston Method: this method runs in the background of all my sessions while I’m working and can also be offered remotely. It’s a form of healing that connects with your system to heal the priorities that need to be healed, vs placing focus only on the areas that are screaming for our conscious attention. I’ve had clients come with low back pain as their focus, but running Bengston in the background, they found that what was inhibiting the back pain from healing was an imbalance from an ankle sprain years prior which they had forgotten about. It’s a wild modality that makes my head explode when I think deeply about it, but what I know is that it works.

  • There are many, many more that make an appearance, but there are some of the most utilized modalities that I incorporate... As we work together, I will get to hone in on what works the best with your system and lean more heavily on those approaches. I also loooove to learn, so new techniques will also get blended in as I feel safe and informed using them.

I saw Adrienne for a shoulder injury and am very pleased with her service. She spent 30 minutes prior asking questions about the injury to make sure she didn’t aggravate it, and she even taught me a lot about it. During the massage, she frequently checked on pressure making sure I was in no pain. She knew all proper techniques for a relaxing and productive massage. 10/10, would highly recommend!

I have spent thousands of dollars on doctors and medications over the past few weeks and have had little to no relief. After a session with Adrienne, I felt whole, peaceful and in significantly less pain. Adrienne is intuitive, professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind.

I am always so pleased with the attention that I receive when I visit Adrienne. She is very thorough in finding out what needs I have for that visit and of course I always feel great when I leave. I am so glad to have found her, as she is a major reason for my continued well-being in my active lifestyle.

I started seeing Adrienne in late July for sciatic pain that I had been dealing with for months. After the first visit I was hooked and amazed at how Adrienne and her magic hands made me feel. I am free of the pain and continue to go on a regular basis to keep pain free and to keep my body relieved of tension. She is the best and I highly recommend her to anyone who suffers from any chronic pain - she will take you to a place you didn’t think existed.
